    Hi,

09 mondeo. Up until the last few days remote lock\unlock was working. Stopped working yesterday. Car is locking and unlocking fine using drivers door however the odd time the alarm goes off.
Is this a battery issue or is there anything else I can check?
If it is battery is this something i can sort myself?

Thanks in advance for any help,
    Kippy

You'd really need a diagnostic plug in done to narrow down the problem, however I have had experience of replacing the door control modules. These are repsonsible for the operation of door locks and electric windows. Each door has its own, the driver's door would be the main one to investigate. A replacement one from a breakers can be swapped in without need for recoding provided its from a mondeo with the same manufacturing year and trim level.

Have you a spare remote key ??

If not replace the battery in your key and try reprogramming it to the car.
To do that sit in the car with door closed cycle the ignition on and off till you hear an audible tone then press a button on the key you should hear the tone again and the doors will lock and unlock turn ignition off and check the operation of the key.
If it wont go into programming mode it could be a needle in a haystack just make sure the battery is the right way round in the key.
