    Well if you want him to appreciate you, it should be a full breakfast in bed, with a decent packed lunch.

    Then when he gets home in the evenings, you should greet him at the door with his favourite drink in hand, then serve up dinner and gently engage in conversation about his day while encouraging him to watch all the man tv he desires.
