After some help zoning a bungalow! Boiler outside at end of house and pipes come in through hallway and rads are branched off and pipes finish at hot press. Thermostat and zone valve on cylinder. I'm changing two radiators and powerflushing system! Can this be zoned into 2 or 3 zones with wireless thermostatic valve heads?? Was lookin at the Honeywell evohome

Have you considered programmable radiator valves.

Will they interact with the likes of a 3 zone time clock??

They each have their own timer and stat. You can get more expensive ones that can be controlled centrally.

Who manufactures the ones that can be controlled centrally?

Most of the main makes have such systems. Pegler Terrier, Honeywell and Comrad, to name a few.

Looked at Honeywell myself...quite not cheap but one of the advantage I found is that the communication between controller and the valve is dual way.

Actually found a zone valve which cuts off front sitting room and front 3 bedrooms and hallway radiators off! Which should make it a little cheaper on the customer! A wireless wall stat in the main bedroom linked to Honeywell evohome will control this I'm guessing.

    Hi,
Did you "sourced" a local supplier for the Honeywell evohome kit !?
    Thanks

C&f quadrant supply them for around 800 euro for 6 zones

Check out some of the home automation kits. Will likely work out more expensive, but you have most of the kit then to start automating lights, remote access, etc.

Looking for a Evohome installer in Cork. I am looking at installing this system in a 4 bed Semi with 12 rads and 2 kick space heaters plus the hot tank.
I could theoretically buy the kits from http://theevohomeshop.co.uk and just replace the heads on my TRVs but I am entitled to 600 curios grant for heating upgrade and would be obliged to use a certified installer.

I may only start with the bare minimum and possibly add to it later.

    cheers

You can now fully zone a bog standard S plan heating system without plumbing or wiring (except changing non TRV rad valves). As said above there are remote systems available and some do a lot more than just control the heating remotely including lighting/security/solar diversion/power control/ power generation reading/message alerts etc.
If it is a proper modular system you can start small and add on as you go. All done from IOS or Android app.

Electric Ireland do EvoHome with an install, presume its discounted if you buy your Elec/Gas from them
