Feel totally overwhelmed

This is my first time to post online, feel like I need outside opinions. I am totally stressed out and am feeling totally overwhelmed with everything. I have always been in employment and made a bad decision to move to a new job in April last year, it didn't work out and I was let go along with others the week before Xmas. ( I work in sales) . This knocked my confidence big time and after a few months on job seekers I got a new job in April. I thought brilliant , fresh start, exciting new company, happy days! But things are absolutely terrible there, it's the unfriendliest company I have ever worked in, I'm there over 4 months now and there is not 1 person I can call for a chat. The boss is awful, she's constantly putting me down , telling me how useless I am, how disappointed she is etc.... It's really getting to me. I have always got on great with people and this is a totally new situation to be in.

I am constantly stressed out and am finding it very hard to stay motivated. I have a constant knot in my stomach.

To make matters worse I have started to feel really sick and have just been diagnosed with colitis. I cannot take any time off to get my health sorted as there is just no understanding from my boss just constant put downs.

If I hand my notice in I won't get job seekers so am caught between a rock and a hard place. I have applied for other jobs but I don't think my head is in the right place to deal with interviews at the moment. I am so stressed about paying rent etc it's affecting every part of my life. I feel like I'm suffocating.

    Any advise greatly appreciated. Thanks

Perhaps talk to a doctor about the work situation with a view to getting a long term sick note. (That would be entirely legitimate since colitis is greatly effected by stess.) Then try to regroup and see what your options are.
