Insulated plasterboard anchors

Hi,

Moved into a house with insulated plaster board attached to external walls. the plan is to attach a wall anchor so i can screw in a hook for hanging coats on.

Question - can these be used in insulated plasterboard

and when fixed, can i screw out the 'screw' and replace with a hook - something like this(but not this one, this is only an example) -

'Yes' to using the linked fixings in your first post. They will have no prolem expanding through the foam backing.

Only problem you'll have is finding a hook with the M4 / M6 thread. Easier to use a small pre-made coat hanging board with 1 or 2 hooks.

G'man Dodzy, thanks for the reply.

But I guess I didn't ask my question correctly, so here goes....will the anchors expand in the insulation to get a grip? like, these anchors are 52mm long and say the boards are 60mm thick and I dont want to drill into the block behind, will these anchors provide grip in the 'foam' insulation - know what I mean lick?
On a similar vein, can you use ordinary rawl plugs in insulation boards - again, not inserting them into the block behind, but just in the 'foam'

I've those boys up al;ready and have only space for one single hook. B&Q have something that will fit the bill.

Yeah, I understood you perfectly The anchors will easily expand in the foam and the spread of the weight on the board will easily hold a wet duffle !

These fellas work quite well in insulated plasterboad, I use them for holding up my curtain rails and even with the kids swinging out of the curtains they have stayed put.

You give it a tap with a hammer then screw in the plug all the way before using the screw.
