    Go to the DCU website
Scroll down to the very bottom
    Click on Portal
Log in with your username and password you were given in the welcome pack.
There is a box in your portal for timetables with a link to see it.

Hi, I found the link for my timetables, and I logged in, (so I presume I'm registered, as I'm a first year). but the page came up not found. Even though I could see different days of the week on top. Would this be because they've yet to upload them for the new year, or do I have to get in touch with IT services or somebody else?😒

Quite possible. There is generally some ironing out to do before you start. You could let your employer know the hours now but make sure you tell them it could change a bit and you won't be entirely sure until you start.
