Thank you for your reply, it is much appreciated, I spotted the ones on DD but they all seem far away from me ( I am based in west cork) was hoping to get into contact with someone a bit closer.

Just bringing this back up again as I would still be interested in getting a few more Shropshire sheep but they all seem to be located in the north.
Anybody know of any of these closer to Cork.
    Thank you ...

Do you mind me asking what is it about them that you like? Do you know much about them? They seem fine sheep alright

I think I can remember an episode of Countryfile where a farmer who had Shropshire sheep had to check them at least 3 times a day as they were very prone to going on their back.

Might be more hassle than they're worth.

think they were southdowns on that programme, big fat round sheep

shropshires wont eat trees so can be used to trim around orchards i believe

My neighbour actually has them, I'm not that keen tbh, but then again I'm not really that keen on crossbreds in general

Thank you for your replies, I got some last year from the Westerholts, I am now looking to get some from somewhere else to make sure they are not related.
Have spotted some in Derry but have no suitable transport for such a long trip.
Anybody know of any one providing a service for moving sheep.
