I went on to the "causal" after getting 2 or 3 days a week work. But that's been over 6 weeks now, does anyone know how long this takes to get sorted?

It depends are you on JSB or JSA... have you returned all form that were given to your for your employer to complete? If on JSA then a means assessment will have to take place. Call into your sw office and see what stage your claim is at.
