    Hi

My Dad is thinking of selling his car and was just looking for a valuation on it.

I've checked with a few sites and the valuation ranges from 20k to 32k.

Could anyone here give their opinion on a realistic value for it.

Make and model is BMW 316D SE Z3AP 4DR AUTO 1995cc
    Reg is a 131MH - Registered Feb 2013
Colour is Black - Leather interior Grey.
    Mileage is 35,000Kilometres
Outside is in good nick - small scrape on front bumper.
All his driving would be local and rarely long distances - Meath/Louth and Dublin Area.

    Thanks in advance.

Try http://www.adverts.ie/valuator but don't trust it.
At the end of the day it's only worth what someone is willing to pay on that particular day.

Jesus, I wish I bought my car off Adverts. Would've saved a fortune!

I'd forget about those online valuations - all they do is take the average asking price of similar cars. So if there are any overvalued then it just pushes up the average asking price, doesn't mean that is what they are selling for.

Try the revenue VRT calculator also on revenue.ie for an OMSP valuation. Sometimes this is also off a but but it can give you some guidance.

€29145 ON VRT calculator - so pretty close to adverts.ie valuation!

Why not contact the bmw garage where he bought it and ask what the trade in value is?
