Britax safe II baby carrier handle fault.

I bought two of these britax baby safe II infant carriers and a twin buggy system about 5 months ago. 1 month into the use the handle came way on one side - luckily the baby seat was caught before it hit the ground while baby in it. It was returned to the shop where it was purchased. The returned it to britax to review.…

It was returned to the shop where it was purchased. The returned it to britax to review. Long story short they have not been able to advise why it came detached on one side and have destroyed the seat. They have refused to provide a quality or fault report. Eventually they have offered to refund the cost of the entire double system.

Question? Should I accept this. Has this happened to anyone else?
