Vietnam Visa and Passport situation.Help!

Hi All,

I am travelling to Vietnam next week and I am flying out on Tuesday (the 15th). I sent away my passport to the Vietnamese embassy in London for my Vietnamese passport last Monday (the 31st) and it stated that it will take up to 5 working days for it to be sent back. However, i was unaware that there was a Vietnamese holiday last week and they only received the passport on Wednesday the 2nd.
I am now freaking out as to when i will get my passport and visa back and have been ringing and emailing the embassy in London constantly and they are not picking up or getting automatic replies.
Do you think i should contact the Irish embassy in London as I don't know any other way of contacting the Vietnamese embassy?
I just need to know has it been sent away yet as I am working all week and will not be able to contact them later in the week.

No point in freaking out until the 5 working days have passed as the application states. If they received it on the 2nd then tomorrow is the 5th working day. Personally I'd wait until 6 days have passed.

Have you even Googled the Vietnamese embassy in London? 2 seconds had the contact details for me.

Yes. I have googled it.
You are right about the 5 days. It's just i would like some sort of indication as to whether i will have it before Monday.

When I got one a couple of years ago they were very efficient although I can't rememeber exactly how many days it took to get the stuff back from them.

Yeah I have been ringing constantly since 10 this morning, 2 hours straight, cost a fortune.

I understand that this takes time I just would like to speak with someone and nobody has been getting back to me or answering.

So it still hasnt arrived and its the weekend.I have no passport or visa.
I got through to them on the 8th and it was in the post...not sure what to do now.

Any updates. I used myvietnamvisa.com and had no problems, but I know I would have been totally panicking if this had happened to me !!!
