Do you drive to work?

With the sheer amount of traffic I see in the mornings and evenings in Dublin I get the impression a fairly significant number of people drive to work. Do you? If so whereabouts do you work and does work provide parking?

I do myself but work provide free parking (Dublin north)!

Driving to work is, in most cases, as cost effective and time consuming as public transport. So you might as well be in the comfort of your car.

Yes, but then I dont live in Dublin. Would probably cycle or use Public transport if I did.

Of course many drive to work as the traffic shows us so. Now retired, but did drive to work where we had free parking. Not telling you where though.

I've got a new job 12 months now and work 7 mins away on bike, 10 in car . So I cycle everyday.

I've a car I love to bits but doesn't get used any more due to having two cars in house so there's a guy coming in 20 mins who's probably going to buy it and break my heart .

What kind of job if you don't mind me asking! I am likely getting a new job in the city centre soon and will miss my car the most!

I get the bus or cycle. If I'm on the bus I can read. Also I find the bus fairly sociable, bump into neighbours the odd time. No road rage. No problems parking with either.

If I'm driving, I'm stuck. Stuck in traffic, stuck looking for somewhere to park, stuck with arse-end drivers doing stupid stuff, stuck paying high amounts for a car that's doing nothing, stuck with having to walk back to wherever it is - instead of just going for the nearest bus stop.
