In my Teagasc area (Longford/Roscommon) they have just sent out a letter asking you to reconfirm your interest in doing the course by filling in another form.

They still don't know a commencement date yet as they have not been informed whether they will get extra staff to teach it.

Do you know how much it is? How long and how many hours?

Jesus shocking price. 150 hrs not too bad. Be nice if you could do one friday and saturday a month or something. Not sure if it's worth it at all.

If you don't register your interest can you actually sign up when it does happen?

Just to give yas a rough idea the course (distance education one)works out being roughly 1 day every 3 weeks over the space of a 18months with an 8 week break, the main days will be a day midweek but the exams are held on saturdays

Suppose you need level 7/8 & all places are gone without being advertised?

It was fairly well advertised last year, and all application forms were sent to a po box rather than the year before where it was first come first served apply to each college, and a heap of people went to the offices of the individual colleges with their forms on the day so filled it up straight away
