Bus shelter smashed

So the bus across the road from my house has been smashed for the hundredth time and replaced. When they replaced they replaced with glass which will obviously just get smashed again I don't understand why they don't just replace it with clear plastic like some other shelters or why don't they build concrete bus shelters. Another question who pays for the damage DB or an advertising company.

The shelters are erected by ad companies. It's their call as to what they are made of.

Plastic just ends up being scratched and dull

There's one such bus shelter on Bulfin Road. Appearance wise it's what Prince Charles would label a monstrous carbuncle.

They eventually go for plastic, not sure if there's a specific count of how many glass replacements it takes. The shelter outside my parents estate in a "nice" area got smashed constantly by, erm, smashed students on their way home and has had plastic for years. It does look terrible.

I'd kill to have a bus shelter in the winter, even a partially smashed one would do :o

AdShell are the fitters and advertising goes through them.

Plastic is also easily damaged and also can be lit on fire causing more damage.

Yes but a bus shelter is not a masterpiece it serves a purpose that's not to look good.
