    Hi Folks,

Current Electric Ireland customer and interested in getting Nest Installed.
What determines a "zone" do you know? We have a 2 storey house and current thermo is on the wall in the living room. Old, basic and does what it says on the tin.

Also, how long would an inspection take?

    Thanks,

    Hi Johnnio13,

Thank you for your interest in Nest.

Many heating systems are split into two independently controlled zones. They are your 'Space Heating Zone' and your 'Domestic Hot Water Zone'. This allows you to heat your domestic hot water without being forced to turn on your space heating. Additional zones are sometimes put in place in large homes to split upstairs and downstairs or living areas and bedrooms.

You can find more information about Nest here on our website. Our colleagues in the Home Services team would be able to provide more information about the procedure and answer any other general queries you may have in relation to the installation. You can contact them on 1850 305 085.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Aoife
