Giant Cadex road bike

Early 90's road bike, high end 7 series aluminium frame and fork, lightweight and responsive, Shimano 105 Groupset, Rigida bomb proof wheels, Cinneli bars and stem, brand new Gatorksin tyres, fully serviced including new inner and outer cables all around, would make an excellent no fuss commuter/trainer bike.

Size I believe is 55cm, will double check, I'm 5'9" and fits me spot on, so can go few inches up and down from there.

Considering age, condition of bike is excellent, hasn't been abused or ridden very much at all, worst part of the frame is some cable rub on headtube. No cracks/dents/ etc.

    Asking 375

    Pics incoming

    Man that's a nice frameset
If you don't move it ( which u will) and you decided to split I'd take the frame...

Agreed on the niceness. Dibs on seatpost if you decide to split.

Looking for cash at the moment.

Regarding tyre clearance, I had 28c Maxxis tyres on the bike, not much room after that.

How tall you reckon it would suit, and would taller (186cm) mean a more bent over riding position? Always wanted an older bike but my wife might kill me!

Size should be fine for you. Yes, you would be slightly more bent over than on a bigger bike. You can try it out if you want.

Nice bike. Is that a different seat post in the outside pics than shown in the first pic?

Yes,had to have a 0 offset seat post on it to get comfy. Will be sold with the silver seatpost, 15mm offset afaik

Thanks for info. I had missed the size. It's too big!! I would have thought you would have no problem selling it. Good luck with sale.

Down to 300 for quick sale!

Sorry never came back to you again after previous reply. I would be interested (and have space in a shiney new shed!) but timing just isn't right. Haven't been on my own bike in months and need to have a few spins to justify bringing home another! It also isn't helping that I'm entitled to a CTW purchase again!

Sure there is always space for another bike! :)

Might be interested in this if you'd take 250? My own bike is shagged & I'm looking for a cheap commuter. Let me know, thanks.

Hi there. Ideally would like 300.

How about, you can come have a look at the bike, if you find any fault or issue with it I'll do it for 250, but if not we do it for 300?

The bike is fully serviced, new chain/cassette, cables etc... Doesn't need anything, solid reliable commuter.

    Thanks

Where are you based? I'm eligible for the BTW scheme & have been offered a trade in hence my lower offer to keep it competitive but I might take a look if it suits.
