Went down with TB a second time so cant sell weanlings as planned. Have to hang on to them. Cows are due to start calving end of Feb. How long can I leave them on the cows? If all goes clear might be able to sell weanlings in Jan if the dept take reactor soon.

I think to allow colostrum to develop properly ideally you need 8 weeks dry. I wouldn't like to leave it any less if I could at all. But like a lot of things in life the odd one has slipped through the cracks.

The cows might wean the calves before that themselves.
