Pretty, but not sure if it is a weed or flower?

This 20150907_093410.jpgwhite flower has appeared again this year. I hadn't tended to the flower bed must this year but have been graced by this flower? with a sweet scent and is spawling nicely. What is it?

It looks like alyssum. It's not a weed.

Any plant, if you like it, isn't a weed. A rose bush in a cornfield would be a weed.

I've often heard a phrase "every weeds a flower and every flowers a weed"

Yes it is alyssum. Usually grown as an annual but it can set seed and spread given the right conditions.Inclined to get a bit leggy, yours could do with a haircut but probably a bit late in the year now.
