Bathroom-what comes first?

    Are tiles laid before or after bath, toilet and basin is installed?

    We installed bath first and put plywood around it. Tiler then tiled plywood around bath and floor area. Basin and toilet installed on tiled floor after.

    I'd tile first so you have nice clean lines, no issues getting tiles level where they meet the bath etc. I'd also tile under where the bath is going so its a bit more water resistant.

    I have the bath tub so will get on to tiles and tiler now.

    This is definitely the correct way to go. Also don't forget to fill the bath with Water before tiling onto it.

    Battons should be fitted to the wall at the correct height and the bath will sit on this as well as the legs supporting the bath

    So the shower tray goes on top of the follor tiles?
