Hello, for the last few months my connection goes down when ever someone is on youtube or on netflix etc. i dont know much about Modems so im wondering if i get myself a Modem and have it beside my PC and have the modem directly plugged into my PC and when i am the only one connected to my modem and people are connected to…

You can only use one 'modem/router' per internet connection. Introducing a second router (which I think is what you mean) will result in all kinds of problems (double NAT etc). Who is your provider and what speeds do you normally get?
