Just got engaged and although we're not at planning stages just yet, I've been browsing hotels and I really like the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire. Has anyone been married here or been to a wedding here? I'd love to hear feedback. Thanks!

We had our reception there this year. Can't recommend them enough.
    Amazing service from the hotel.

We went down the pier for a few shots of ourselves.
My cousin who got married nearby used the People's Park which is also feasible.
The stairs in the entranceway is great for photos though. We got a few lovely family shots there later in the evening.

This is the review I wrote for them:
We had our wedding reception here in May 2015 and from start to finish the Royal Marine Hotel provided one of the best, smoothest and most professional services I've had the pleasure of experiencing. Our first meeting was a two hour tour of the hotel with every question answered and no detail too small to be noted. From then on every email was replied to within one working day (usually in less than two hours). A drop in visit with close friends on a Sunday afternoon resulted in a staff member taking an hour to show us and them around. All our special requests from menu tweaks, ice cream vans to sweet heart tables were met without difficulty. In the lead up to the day Maeve ensured every detail was taken care of and on the day itself Paul and his team made sure everything ran like clockwork. The bridal suite was beautiful. The food was delicious. Our guests were wonderfully taken care of too. Those travelling from abroad could use the direct bus route to the airport. There's easy access to the city and lots to do locally for those who stayed for a few days extra. Our guests and ourselves had an absolutely fantastic day in no small part due to the hotel staff and their team work.

I was at a wedding there and was very impressed. The food was fab, and it was a massive wedding - 200+ guests, so when I saw that I didn't have very high hopes, but we were pleasantly surprised; great food, plenty of it, helpful staff. I'm a non-drinker, so can't comment on prices in the bar, but I didn't hear anyone complaining. Also there's a good big dance floor so if you're having a big wedding then there's no need to worry about there not being enough space.

I would echo what almoris said about the outside not being fantastic for photos, but it's do-able. Also seeing as it's Ireland and there's a good chance it'll piss rain anyway, and if it does, the interior is beautiful.
