Visited the one outside Drogheda, was really surprised at how clean and quiet it all was.

There is nothing new on that website. Just general informations mostly from 2014. I'm surprised such big and important construction gains such little media interest.

Are any of these incinerators going to recover energy and sell it to the local community?

Running an incinerator that does not create energy from waste is a waste of resources. Most incinerators in Europe feed district heating and or cooling systems and some generate electricity.

Yes it's a waste to energy plant. If I remember correctly it'll be 55MW. People in Ireland don't trust district heating, I know one office building in the IFSC with a large CHP that wanted to give heat to the apartments next door and they wouldn't take it.
