Second interview

Hi I've been called back for a second interview with a logistics company for a warehousing role. Just wondering what's usually the story with second interviews. Have been told it will be with a senior member of the company, First was with HR manager. First one was a bit of a nightmare with questions like my biggest weakness and strength how my co workers see me how i'm trying to improve myself etc..

Will the second be similar? Would it be ok to wear the same shirt and slacks but add a tie?

I also have holidays booked for October, Should I mention this at the interview or just wait and see if I get the job first then bring it up. If it meant me getting the job I'd cancel them.

    Thanks

It will probably be based more on the actual work you'll be doing so try to research the role and the company both as best you can.

You'll be fine wearing the same shirt and slacks with a tie.

On the holidays, they may ask you if you have any booked. Any reasonable company should allow you to take them unless it's a particularly busy time or something. I'd mention it if you get an offer.

    Good luck!

Congrats on getting called for the second interview, it means the company liked what they seen in the first interview and are seriously considering you for the job.
I would take this as a confidence boost going into the second interview.

I would definitely wear the tie this Time and research the company and the role itself. Have 3-5 things you want to TELL THEM about yourself that will get you over the line and try work these into the conversation, similar to how a politician does.

To get called back for a second interview is great, it means they know you can do the job but they want to maybe check out how well you fit with the company and colleagues, your potential manager may be sitting in on the interview.

    Good luck mate

Thanks very much for the advice, Should I wait to see if I get a job offer then to mention the holidays if they don't? I think bringing it up could damage my chances.

I personally would tell them in the interview so they know you are honest. I was in the same situation a few years back and I told them in the interview I had a 3 week holiday booked about 2 months after my planned start date and I still got the job. If you are the right person for the job they should be OK with it. Telling them after you get hired could start you off on the wrong foot, bearing in mind you will probably be on probation for 6 months anyway.

Don't mention it unless they ask - and even then say you would be willing to cancel to get the job.

Otherwise, wait a job offer and negotiate the start-date from there.

I had a similar issue lately and I waited until I got a call offering me the job and then brought it up. It was no problem and we were 'negotiating' on a few things so that was just added to the list really. I'd wait until that stage if I was you.

I got the job! :) Holidays weren't a problem either.

    Hi guys,

I am in the same situation. I had 2 interviews and I am waiting for the feedback. I sent a ''thank you email'' to the interviewers after every round and my feeling is that I did well during those meetings.

I didn't hear from them since my last interview (17 days ago) so, based on your experience, is it a good or bad sign?

This waiting time is killing me as I really want this job.

    Thanks everybody
