When is the best time to start training to german short haired pointer pups ? Both bitches and both very different. Only 4 months gone.. there both very very very head strong.

Let them have their puppyhood, I usually get them used to their name, wait for their feed etc until about six months old then start training. They can be a little slow to mature and you don't start getting the best out of them until their second year. I find they bond very well and want to please, they won't move far from you to begin with so I don't tend to reign them in from the start as I want my pointers to roam pretty wide and they need to have that confidence. Getting them trained to return to you every time is one of the most important things in my opinion. Best of luck.

Should be doing basics with them from day one man. Basic commands like sit stay etc and praise the dog when it does it. Also get the dog to be customed to loud noises if you intend to shoot around them.
5-7 months introduce to gun like I did and it worked for me.
But for now basic commands and retrieving with toys etc with treats as rewards.
This all worked on my first hpr and she done really well on her first few months mate. No expert but that's my two cents

You could just do the basics with him, recalled sit, stay, heel but whatever you do with him you have to be consistent.

Plenty of play and loads of praise.
