Have logged in as Admin to the router and gone to the port forwarding
    where I see this
Public Port Range Target IP Address Target Port Range Protocol

Under 1 and 3 I put the port I need to fwd and under 2, the IP address of the CCTV DVR which I need to point to.
Under Protocol I left it at both/l UDP and TCP

The format for say port 88 is
    88-88 192.168.x.y 88-88 both

When I test on port checker, the ports are unavailable.
I have tried for the router IP address

Don't really understand what I am at here, got it working on the previous router which UPC just switched out one day while I was away and they told herself it was causing issues on network :)
    Thanks

You're on CGN (dslite) now. You can't do real NAT. Complain to UPC.

    Thanks:
Dont understand the issue as you describe it: am out of contract with UPC so if moving to eircom what do I need to ask for: likewise what do I need to ask UPC for to fix it: its it the router or the connection:)

It did work on the old router..
