Aside from my other thread I myself am thinking of leaving Sky as I only watch a couple of programs I could get on the web and stream.

I would want a combo box that can receive Saorview and FTA channels and can record, a 7 day EPG and series link would be cool too

    What would I need?

Combo boxes on that link but you wont get all the bells and whistles with a combo box.

   ????????????

A good linux based combo will do far more than most users will ever need although they do need a bit of work setting them up. Although granted, the boxes linked to above are limited.
OP have a look at the Amiko Alien2 or Edision OS3

Just get any box that can run Openvix. They require minimal effort to setup.

Yes hence why I said they wont have all the bells and whistles. I did not link any Linux box as they can be beyond what most people want to deal with when setting them up.

I'm thinking of getting one of these for a similiar setup, has anyone ever used one?
Only one box needed to receive Saorview & freesat, and it can stream to 4 devices.
Will be connecting it to a NAS.
