Buying PS4 Accounts with games...?

Hi,

I am hearing of a service whereby you can "buy" a PS4 account login and access the games on that account for a huge saving on normal retail price.

I'm not advocating this, just wanted to see if anyone had any experience of this and / or thoughts?

It would be the easiest thing in the world for whoever's selling it to simple reclaim the account and leave you with nothing before selling it on again, that's ignoring where this account came from (could be stolen) or that Sony may ban the account.

I don't really understand how the PlayStation 4 works. Is it possible to purchase a game and then play it without using the disc or something, or is it if you have purchased it digitally?

Yes, you can buy games directly off it digitally.

Yes, but there is nothing stopping you from taking the account back for yourself and changing the password at any time you like.

I didn't accuse you of anything...

If its the absolute worst way of doing it, (as in theft!) its a stolen/hacked account, where someone has phished for email/PW and changed the PW, and then sold on the account to someone else

For the most part though it's mainly done in Countries where currency and price difference online can play a big part...

I.E if say The Witcher 3 works out at 36 quid in Poland through currency conversion as opposed to 60 quid here, some lads will set up an account, buy the game, and maybe sell the account for 50, making 14 quid a go...

If he does it 20 times a day, he makes a few quid..

There is nothing stopping you set up and out of region account in a cheaper country yourself, buying the credit from an instant delivery online shop and making the purchase yourself....

I know of a reputable site that is selling Battlefront deluxe for €40 . The site sends you account details to log in to ,dl the game on that account ,activate as primary console ,then delete the dl account ,and play on your normal account...simples. It's not illegal .Its tha same thing that lots of ppl do on here with US etc accounts.

But isn't there a limit to the number of systems the 'purchasing account' can download a game to?

Are you running the risk that sony could ban your system if it sees it as being one of x number downloading for the purchasing account?

I was under the impression that most people here will buy a game from the US store using their own accounts and not somebody elses. That's what I do anyway.

What is the reputable site?

It might not be illegal but it voids the PSN terms and conditions and you can be banned from PSN for it. Also you don't own that game, it belongs to the other account. If you change console or even hard disk you won't have access to that game anymore.

Exactly what Retrogamer said.

if you need to restore your licenses for anything or the PS does it routinely, you'll lose the game.

Anyway lads, don't do this, you'll get your console or your account banned faster than you'd think.

Yeah I'm going to lock this thread with a final warning: don't do it. Too many risks involved, like almost any deal that is 'too good to be true'.
