Recommendation for counsellor

    Hi,

I'm not even sure if it's ok to ask for this here but I am wondering if somebody can recommend a counsellor who would deal with an adult who was sexually abused by a family member as a child please?

I know there is a directory that I can look in but to be honest it's just a list of names that mean nothing to me! They all seem to have just ticked all the boxes when asked to list their speciality so I'm wondering if a personal recommendation for somebody decent is possible?

They could be in the Meath, Dublin, Kildare or Laois area as I'm willing to travel. I have already been in touch with 1 in 4 but their main focus seems to be for me to report the name of the person and I'm not saying I won't do that in time but just at the moment I need help for me to get my head around things....thanks a lot

I'm sorry OP but PI cannot give you professional recommendations.
