Could a linguist determine from interviewing a person how likely the person would be to use a particular word?

A is accused of calling B a ******. But A would never use the word ******as it is not in his vocabulary. Could a linguist prove that?

I don't think so. Just because Anto only watches Geordie Shore and Big Brother and only reads The Sun, it doesn't mean he can't say the word 'Psephologist'.

I think a psychologist could give an opinion, but i don't think anyone can say for sure.
