Repeating the year

I have to repeat my final year after failing the repeat exams. After going to register today, it listed the core modules I have to take. But it didn't list the modules I failed and should have to repeat but different ones I never studied. Turns out the course has changed and so some of the modules I failed are no longer available. So it looks like they want me to repeat the whole year, which would involve a research project and work placement. I already did a research project last year and passed it. I absolutely hate the course and really struggle with it, so the thoughts of doing another full year including a work placement fill me with dread. Also, some of the proposed modules sound similar to ones I passed already. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if they can make me repeat the whole year and do all the modules, when I passed the most of the year?

Know somebody that was in that situation 2 years ago. As far as I'm aware she had to do new subjects, but only amounting to the number of failed credits. So let's say you passed modules totalling 35 credits last year, then you should only have to repeat 25 credits worth of subjects this year. I'm sure it depends upon the course and the department though.

Yeah, This happened to me as well.

If you failed 7/12 modules then you just have to do 5/12 modules again no matter what the new ones are. Just talk to them in the reg office and it will be sorted.
