Car is a 2004 Audi A4 1.6

Just recently had an engine overhaul

Went back in today for an expected faulty EGR, car was supposedly 'fixed' be a few hours after collection car began running really rough, no power, misfiring and very hesitant to start. I initially suspected a coil pack but now i realize the the central locking system between the drivers door and the other ones are not in sync and there is a solid red security light when the key is not in the ignition (so no immobilizer issues).

Could they have destroyed an ECU or a Relay?
