Question on moving house after having registered at original address

So I registered at my current address and have applied for the conservation grant at this address.

I will soon be moving house (before end October 2015). I plan to register at the new house also. For a time (up to 2 mths) I will have to pay water charges at both properties. I need to be able to claim the water conservation grant at the new/2nd property for the period of time in 2015 that I am liable for the water charges there. How do I do this?

    Hi.
I got 2 bills in mid June within 2 days of each other, unmetered and unregistered, Both were for full amount for 2 people (default amount)
I have since registered before the cut off due date, and I have received another bill to my address, for E17.88, this third one is addressed to the occupier the first two were addressed to my name, I should be registered but am still unmetered, whats going on??

We can certainly investigate this matter for you. Would you mind sending the following details via PM:

    - Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact Number.

    Thanks in advance,
    Niall

I read their FAQs. So if I understand it correctly one is only entitled to the grant for 1 PPR? Even though I will have 2 for up to 2 mths. OK then.

The Water Conservation Grant is issued once a year per account holder.

You may be eligible for the grant at your new property in 2016 and subsequent years. Details of this will be announced in due course.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Allanah

You can't have 2 PPRs in Ireland. You can have multiple properties but only 1 will be your PPR.

Gotcha... unfortunately for a period of time I'll be paying the fixed water charges on 2. I will be living in one while the other (vacant) is being readied.

We would suggest that when you move from one property to the other, call us on 1890 448 448 and we can update your details to reflect your change of occupancy. As the second property will be vacant for a period of time, we would also suggest that you contact us so that we can take note that the property is deemed "Not permanently occupied" for the period of time that you are not living there.

You can read more on "Not permanently occupied" charges here.

We hope that you find the above information helpful.

    Kind regards,
    Amy.

Thanks Amy, I will do that. I was not aware of a 'not permanently occupied' designation on a property.
