Anyone know any good books that were originally written in castellano. Books for age groups from 13-16 would be the best. Gracias!

    Don Quixote!

Although maybe not so great for younger teenagers (though in Spain they're obliged to read it at school, similar to Shakespeare for us)

Anything by Garcia Marquez... my Spanish is decent but I found him easier to read in comparison to others (I could just about understand Borges in English, in Spanish, impossible)

And of course, probably the best written book in Spanish of the 21st century, 'la sombra del viento' by Carlos Ruis Zafon. I think teenagers would like it, it kind of appeals to all ages I think.

Are the students fluent in Spanish or are they learning? Because Zafon would probably be too much for them unless they had a very good level.
