    Hi all,

Just want to plug a static car show being run inside the grounds of the Cork City Gaol (http://corkcitygaol.com/) on Sunday 20th September 2015.

The Italian Car Club Ireland (www.icci.ie) are organising this but all makes and models are more than welcome.

This will be a officially the 4th year having this event at this great location and the hope would be we can run this in conjunction with a few other classic clubs in the region in future years.

Here are a few photos from last year when the Italian-100 was held there last year:
    http://italiancarclubireland.com/?page_id=621

It's a charity event so there will be a few donation buckets on the day with the proceeds going to The Samaritans.

Gates open at 10:00am for car owners. Any questions please shoot me a PM or check the ICCI site for details.

Also, the day before (Sat 19th Sep) there will be a convoy of cars & owners meeting in Ballincollig to take a trip down to the Kilgarvan Motor Museum for anyone interested too.

Thanks to mods for allowing me post & plug this event.

    Best regards and thanks again.

Just want to add more information if that's ok with mods?

For people interested in making a weekend of this car show The Oriel House Hotel in Ballincollig are kindly offering an ICCI club rate as follows:
    – 1 Night B&B €49.50 pps
    – 1 Night B&B single room €70.00
    – 1 Night B&B and evening dinner €75.00 pps

Just quote the 'Italian Car Club Ireland' rate and you'll get the discount on booking.

Also, Applegreen Fuel Station Ballincollig have agreed to supply fuel to participants in this event at a discounted rate at their site in Ballincollig, which is around 2km from the Oriel hotel, just off the N22 bypass at Junction-3 : 5c/litre discount.

Finally there was a little confusion as to the exact event location. This in being held inside the City Goal "museum"... not the real jail! :) as follows on Google maps.

Also, as a follow on from a phone calls : just to clarify the show cars will be inside the actual old Gaol grounds. There are a few areas cars can comfortably park inside etc. Only display cars will be inside the grounds. Here are just a few photos of a show from last year to give an idea of the setup:

ffs lads, you could've say it before it's going to be a tenner per car... I could've just leave the car outside and walk in. That was a smart move I must say because otherwise there would be no cars. Especially in this weather.

A very sincere thanks to all the die hard enthusiasts that braved the heavy rain today for today's show at the Cork City Gaol in aid of the Samaritans. The collection today yielded €520 all of which shall be donated to this wonderful charity. Thanks again ICCI team.

Yes the weather was awful! A lots of us were very disappointed. And this event had already been bumped a few weeks because of the poor weather.. typical. The phone was hopping during the day with owners ringing ahead asking about the weather!

Just reading your post there and it seems you're unhappy about the day.. we're genuinely sorry about that. I'll just pop off a pm there.

    Best regards and thanks again
