    If you have the reg you can get a roundabout quote. Mine last year on a 2001 car was was 1575 but I'm 30 and this was last year.

    Go to a few insurance websites put in your details and the ref and see what quotes you get

    Id be very surprised if many sites will quote a provisional licence holder with nil NCB tbh. Best bet OP is to ring a couple of brokers tomorrow.

    Exactly like he says, of course some quotes will be insane. The AA gave me my best this year.

    Axa was my second best quote this year, but the AA beat them and ironically I'm insured by AXA through the AA, your first insurance will always be ludacris, but that's not bad since insurance increased by 20% this year.
