    Hey,

I am thinking about applying to the Old Course advance reservations ballot for 2016. Has anyone done it before? 4 of us are turning 30 next year so we thought it would be a good way to see it in. They seem to want your home course and handicap. Do they check this? I only ask because a few of the party wouldn't have either. We are all sub 16 handicappers. It's just that a few lads live in London so don't have a home club. They just play different courses each week depending on availability. And so they wouldn't have an official handicap either. Is there any other info anyone could supply?

    Cheers.

Yeah, I don't think they're too strict on that.

You can play the Old Course for a fairly reasonable price up until end of March (I think) as part of a package, playing two of the other courses there too. Only drawback with that is that you have to use fairway mats
