I think there is an option of tan tights or navy tights but I may be wrong, I believe EI allow tan tights only.

The main outdoor coat bit looks a bit ridiculous, especially the yellow one if they're toning down the yellow interiors as promised.

Your one in the yellow coat's face says it all really!

Still with the tight skirts, high heels and make-up. 'Our primary function is safety' but we'll have to break-off these heels before we can do anything.

This should be standard cabin crew attire ( not sure about the flappy hair though ):

Well the high heels are only to be worn outside the aircraft. Cabin crew have low sole shoes for onboard duties

That yellow coat would blind you!

Better than EI's anyway. But that wouldn't be difficult.

Its dual purpose, keeps the wearer warm and also acts as a high vis vest on the apron.

hear, hear. Terribly out of fashion, looks poor when compared to other more modern uniforms. Aer Lingus's badly needs an update.

I don't particularly mind the new Ryanair bar the blokes coat on the right. The yellow looks nice especially with the blue but maybe that's the Leinster supporter in me that's used to having yellow and blue.

I don't think EI's is that bad, when worn to standard! It needs a refresh certainly but I think their uniform is at this stage iconic and well recognised!

Looks pretty good: fresh, different than the old, but certainly unmistakable as Ryanair.

I actually like it. OK the yellow is loud but I can see the benefit of it's hi-vis properties.

The uniforms are an improvement on the previous shade of blue and look a lot less "Low Fares" which is a good thing.

I agree, now just for IAG to push EI to freshen up

A new uniform is hardly a top priority for Aer Lingus and a complete "freshen up" of the brand would be totally unnecessary. The brand has transitioned well into the current value carrier model and the recent 'Smart flies Aer Lingus' campaign has modernised the look completely and the uniform actually looks quite nice in the new adverts.

The uniform will need updating eventually but can probably wait until Aer Lingus requires a complete rebrand.

As for Ryanair, it's a nice update of what was an okay uniform. I like the yellow coat and the smarter look, it's got a hint of Lufthansa about it too.

Barely black, or cocoa, which are next to impossible to find in up to 15 denier. Tan would be so much more preferable.

It would make sense for Aer Lingus, BA, and Iberia to have the same uniform, but in their own corporate colours.

I flew on a BRS>DUB FR flight last month with the above interior. Its a huge step-up from the previous design. Increased leg-room, more comfortable seats, and relatively muted colours that don't scream LOW COST AIRLINE.

The seats in the Telegraph article appear to have Aer Lingus style headcushions, which are great for facilitating a comfortable snooze on the 90 minute type flights.

The ones actually specified on Ryanair Twitter's photo appear to be a somewhat more recent version of their current "60 minute tops" seat without the headcushion.....pity really :(

The plane I was on last week from paris had the new seats. (Not the sky interior though)

The seats are very slim so you have a decent amount more legroom, and the tray table clip is also a coat hook now.

Still the same yellow and blue plastic with the safety card sticker, I assume it's the new lighter version of the old seat.

One thing I didn't like is that the armrest is now one of the weight saving half length type (similar to Aerlingus regional)

Not surprised they didn't go for a conventional seat, their cabins designed to be light on maintenance.

My guess is their Twitter post contains the interior for new 737-800's delivered from now on, and the Telegraph article refers to their plan for the 737-MAX interior.

The first delivery of the full new interior is next week, it will have the new seats and the sky interior. All aircraft up to this will be retrofitted with the new interiors in the coming year.

That's going to be a hefty bill I assume. Is there any other reason apart from having the same product accross the brand?

Will be needed as the flight I was on this Sunday had the first three overhead lockers taped up and out of order and the wall in front of the first row of passengers wasn't too tidy.
They do work their planes harder than most.

Maybe they'll try to stretch the ownership period of their planes and see if it is more cost effective to hold a modern airframe/plane for more years or pass it on through the trade sooner.

Figures show that the saving on fuel per annum with the lighter seats and lighter hat bins throughout the fleet will outweigh the costs of the retro fit. Plus he sells off the seats from the old interiors to other airlines.

anymore room in the overhead bins?

Staff will still have to wear high vis vest whilst airside

Indeed. Being bright and yellow doesn't equate to the standards required by airports as regards the wearing of hi-vis vests and jackets. Interior looks decent enough. An improvement anyway.
