Health issues from Vaping

Hi there, hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. I've been Vaping since December last year and have not smoked at all during this time. I was smoking 20 silk cut blue a day and began using an ego and wicked platinum or vanilla or sometimes cola juice at 6mg. After a while I changed to vapros spinner II and a nautilus mini tank and then recently changed to a curve 2. For the last while I've been experiencing a sort of shortness of breath and tightness in the lungs, an ache in my throat and sometimes what seems to be a rapid heartbeat. I then took advice and changed the juice to totally wicked red label at 6mg and a mix of totally wicked tobacco at 6mg and caramel at 0mg. Still experiencing the symptoms but not as severe. I'm not sure though if the symptoms were present before switching to the curve. Really don't want to give Vaping up as its been a game changer and I quite enjoy it. Would appreciate any advice!

You may very well have an intolerance to PG. Try a more heavy VG based juice and see how you get on. 80VG/20PG. You'll probably find that wicked eliquid is 50/50, although I'm only guessing.

It's more likely however to be that you're getting too much nicotine, a rapid heartbeat would definitely be a side affect of too much nicotine. I'm not familiar with the curve, but I would imagine it's a more powerful device then the spinner you were previously using. Try dumbing down the usage a bit and see if that helps. Try also dropping to a 3mg juice.

Sounds like overdose of nicotine to me too.
Maybe the PG isn't helping either, a lot of folk find pg irritates their throat.
As above, try an even lower nic juice, and go for something more VG, 70/30 or something like that.

Go see your doctor and get a proper evaluation. Those symptoms could indicate something more serious.

Vaping should not be doing this to you and you need to rule it out as a cause. Stop vaping for a few days and see if your symptoms are still there.

Also drink lots of water - more then you think you need as vaping can dehydrate you leading to similar symptoms to what you are having.

Thanks for all the replies. Have been to doctor a few weeks ago and she thought it might have been a bronchitis type infection. Put me on antibiotics even though it didn't fit the usual pattern. Had X-ray done and all fine too. I never used more than 6mg which I thought was low so unless there was a mix up in the batch I bought, I don't think it's the nicotine. I'm reading up on the curve 2 which appears to be an istick 20w that comes with a sub ohm tank. Means nothing to me really but could that be the problem? Will try the vg juices to see if that helps. Can they be bought in Dublin?

Vintage Vape Rooms in Temple Bar have a really good range of max vg juices. It's beside the central bank.

The rapid heartbeat could be from over-doing it. I get that if I chain vape.

Some of the rest could be dehydration, vaping dehydrates you, so up your water intake.

Try some max VG juice (you'll probably need a new tank as they don't wick well in a nautilus) and see how you get on.
