Hi, so basically, I didn't work as hard as I should have last year and I got 500 points in my leaving cert, unfortunately missinh my first choice (BESS in Trinity) by 10 points. I've decided I want to repeat because I honestly cannot see myself doing any other course and have been wanting to do this course for a while now. Repeating in the Instiute or anywhere else with high fees is out of the question for me. So my question is, would Rathmines be a good choice to repeat at. I have heard many who attend are looking to raise their points from 300-400 mark, and was wondering if the standard there was high enough that I could hope to jump from 500 to around 540 (with a lot of work from myself of course). Kind of lost at the minute and any advice would be appreciated.

The standard is as high as you make it.
It is an excellent place to repeat in and they have had many 580+ students through Rathmines. Make sure you apply soon - they have been doing interviews for weeks for the repeats. There is no guarantee there will be a place at this stage.
