My wife and I want to go for a sun holiday at the end of Sept on a relative budget. Its the only time both of us have off together unfortunately.

Ive visited budgetTravel, sunways, lowcostholidays etc and of course they all rate as all of their packages as brilliant. Ive been on one to majorca before and the hotel left a little to be desired.

Anyone been on a package holiday in the past while they would recommend?

    Requirements:

-Decent Hotel. doesnt have to be awesome, just safe & clean.
    -good pool & bar.
-Fairly close to a town & beach.

After that we are not too worried, we will find things to do once we are there.

    Appreciate any recommendations.

This looks like a good deal price wise-I've never been to Lanzarote myself but know lots of people who love it.
It's for mid to late September though-are you flexible with dates?

I recommend Lanzarote. We booked ourselves, Ryanair from Cork. Used alpha rooms to book hotel and transfers. Stayed in Puerto del Carmen. Loved every minute, have been twice and we will def go back. Lots of very good hotels to choose from.
Fariones is a very popular complex, we don't stay there but lots of friends do.
Just crossed posts with saggy craggy and what he/ she has suggested looks good !!!

Thanks guys. Will investigate Lanzarote a little more.
Not that flexible with dates unfortunately, work commitments just get in the way.

Lanzarote is lovely, check out the Los Jameos Playa Hotel, they do a super all inclusive .... ya can book directly with the hotel or on lowcost holidays, or broadway travel they have good deals and ya can book flights seperately....We are heading there shortly and we got a better deal booking directly with the hotel and doing the flights ourselves, saved about E300
