My partner stayed in Happy Holiday B&B in Rome last year. Cheap and cheerful. Great location, nice breakfasts.

I stayed in the Yellow hostel a few years back. Rooms weren't great but the common areas and bar were good fun.

Located close to Termini station so easy to get to but maybe not the best area at night.

Worth a look. Enjoy your trip.
