roadwater and road height

    Over the years the county council have raised the road outside my house with the result now with roadwater now seeping into my yard and as my house is low anyway I find I have a steep descent into my entrrance and will get worse if resurfaced again,its a local road and house is there way b4 road raised,have the council responsibly here thanks

    I worked on a case where road improvement works resulted in a farmers yard being flooded.
    Council eventually came out to rectify the issue.

    The cheap way councils re lay roads is to relay on to existing roads. There has been cases where bridge strikes have occured where councils have relayed the road and reduced clearance but without updating signage.

    Speak to your council. If that fails get an engineer (I know a good one!)
