Does anyone have any experience of attending weddings at both these venues? Am interested in both, pricing looks similar. I will be booking from abroad so will probably have to rely on a relative to visit them so any further insights welcome!

both are very nice and you wouldnt go wrong with either. beaufield mews is an early finish due to the proximity to residential houses.

That would be the clincher for me - Party is in full flow and it has to stop at 12.30!

Well anglers rest is the same. We were told not a minute later & we wouldn't be allowed a band. The rooms are beautiful & food is meant to be good.

I've seen at least 4 bands play in anglers rest and its a 1.30 finish I think

We got a show around by someone & that's what she said about bands. 1.30 is still early, we were trying to think where to after.

    What about liffey valley house?

With a bar extension you can stay in the Angler's Rest until 2.30 (plus 30mins drinking up time). That's the main thing tipping me towards there at the moment over Beaufield. With a 12am finish we would realistically have to organise something for after which is additional hassle/expense we could do without. With Angler's Rest there also is a choice for each course included in the per head price, that's extra in Beaufield.

Haven't come across Liffey Valley House. Had a quick google but find a website? Not sure if I want to consider somewhere else though given how hard I'm finding it to choose between these two already :)

Anglers Rest Bar closes at 1 am on a Saturday (music must stop then also) and bar extension is until 2.30.

In Beaufield Mews, do they turn off music and close at 12 or is it just the live music that has to finish by 12? Could we stay later with our own music? And how do evening guests work there? If they are only arriving at 9 o clock it'd be a very short night for them. Has anyone heard of anyone having an early ceremony/meal/music and afters starting earlier?

Op to be honest if there is any doubt over timings etc I would be looking somewhere else. We had a place picked for ours and there were a few questions about accomodation/finish time etc so rather than take a chance we went with somewhere else. It might have been okay but we weren't prepared to take the chance that we would have to finish the night at 1 or so.

You could possibly stay but not with own music. Their residential neighbours would raise a complaint. Music licences are normally granted for amplified sound but I've heard a few acoustic guitar sessions get a bit raucous. I'd imagine just being told no.

The extension for the anglers rest is 800 euro just to let you know which I thought was pretty steep.
