TV Package for RWC 2015

Hi - quick question to anyone who's in the know:
Is it possible to get a TV package for one month (or perhaps two) to watch the rugby world cup? I don't have a tv subscription with anyone, but have upc for broadband. I see that they have a yearly sub, which includes TV3 (showing rugby), but couldn't see anything for a shorter period & and I don't fancy paying out for the whole year.
Are there any other providers who might do this for TV3, Sky (or 3E? who apparently also have the rights)?
I know i can watch online, but would prefer the TV experience on this occasion.
    Any help appreciated.

TV3 is free to air - you don't need a subscription. Just an aerial and, depending on the age of your TV, a set top box which can be purchased for about €80.

It's also 100% free on ITV if you happen to have access to a satellite dish.

I don't have satellite dish, but the TV is only a few years old.
Is the settop box one of those saorview things i've seen around.
    Would rabbit ears work?
Also just had an idea - could i stream TV3 on laptop and connect to TV with scart?

Rabbits ears may work - depends on your location. Try them. The box is a Saorview box, but you might not need one if your TV is recent enough (check if it has "DVB" written on it anywhere).

TV3 doesn't live stream 24/7, though some programmes, such as news and Champions League, are streamed. It might be streaming RWC games but I don't know if this has been announced. Most laptops won't output SCART, but check if your laptop and TV will both do HDMI.

Thanks for the help folks - got a box in Harvey Norman for e100 and a UHF aerial with amp for e20 - works perfect
    RWC 2015 sorted :)
