    Hi, my son has Transition Year Work Experience at Dublin Airport, however, we live in Bray and can't seem to find a cheaper way other than the Aircoach or Darting it to Dublin and getting the 747 (almost as expensive), the 133 Bus Eireann doesn't stop in Bray in time to get you to the airport for 9am and even then, it's almost the same price as the Aircoach. DAA only issue discount cards to actual DAA staff. There must be a cheaper way to get there on a daily basis! Any suggestions please?

    Dart into town and then a 16 from O'Connell street. Normal Dart fare and then 2.05 with a Leap Card to the airport.

    Actually if he gets a Dublin bus into O'Connell Street on the Leap Card he'll get the 90 min discount. So he'll pay full Dublin bus fare from Bray, but only 1.05 from O'Connell Street.

    If he's a student leap the daily cap is five Euro a day on bus/ dart

    Thanks for that. I don't know what you mean about the 90 min discount, can you elaborate please? Also do you know if it applies to the Dart too? Thanks

    I'm not sure about the Dart, but if you pay with a leap card on a 2nd bus within 90 mins of getting on the first, you get a 1 euro discount.

    €5 is bus only. The cap for bus & dart combined is €7.50 a day, or €30 a week. €30 a week works out at shag all. It also work out at €3 a journey, so shag all the discounts; it may not actually save you much.

    Consider the following;
    Dart to Connolly
    Train from Connolly to Drumcondra
    41 bus to Airport. There's a few other buses that also go via the Airport.

    Sorry folks, but this is the wrong forum to be discussing this.

    Spear has already advised that the correct forum for this issue is the C&T forum, and he also provided a direct link for convenience. If you wish to discuss this any further, please continue to do so in the correct forum.
