How long is a referral letter from a GPS good for?

I have a referral for an mri from my GP that's about 2-3 months old.
I left it this long based on his advice, he said that he would advise giving a month or two to see if I just healed with some mobility and recovery work.

I did this and still not healed so it's probably mri time.

Will the referral letter he gave me 2 months ago still be OK to use?

It should be but I'd actually strongly consider getting a new one made out by them.

Just a case of phoning them, letting them know that the issue hasn't cleared up so you'd like to be referred for the MRI please.

The new letter will also include the updated timeline of your issue so that'll help the radiologist when making out your report. :)
