Most popular dating websites/apps in Ireland??

Hey, I was watching this film the other day and it depicted a dude using a dating app, to great effect.

So I thought, hell, you only live once; what's up with this.

Been checking out a few sites, some apps to download to your phone.

Some seem to give more hits than others.

I'm wondering what are the most popular apps being used in ireland?

I don't really follow the social network scene, so I assume some of you guys might be more well up on this than me.


I downloaded tinder - which seems kind of fun, but if there's a better one out there, throw a name at me!!

POF is probably the best option other then tinder that's free.

POF, OKCupid. Stay away from anything that requires a paid membership. They're mostly scams.

Yeah, tinder seems to be the easiest to use anyways.

I never tried it! Im only 19 so not many dating sites are really popular with my age group apart from tinder..Im sure most of the well known sites have a reasonable number of users 23+ and in their lots in their 30's

OKCupid has loads of Irish members, it's just that they're predominantly in Dublin and surrounding areas. POF has more people, but you'd find more interesting people on the former, at least that's the impression I've formed recently. Tinder can be good, but I've found that I might only talk to 80% of the people I match with. There's also Badoo, but that's so-so. Noticed that the majority of members seem to be Eastern European, which is odd.

I use OKC and POF, I find POF completely useless. Have met a few interesting people through OKC though!

Dublin. Can't imagine there'd be much activity in the country, I'm from the West myself and wouldn't use it if I still lived there, sure you'd know every second person anyways!

OKC has a larger userbase in Dublin than anywhere else in the country. If you're looking for quantity, POF would be where you'd look, but you'd have to do a fair amount of wading through the people to find anyone interesting. OKC encourages you to fill out your profile and the match percentage can give you a good idea if you'd be compatible with someone or not. POF doesn't, so the majority have empty or barely filled in profiles.

Found the wife on POF, obviously not my wife at the time.

Back in the day, I found it good (before I found the aforementioned wife), met a few women off of it, all of which resulted (bar 1) in relationships of some sort

Bumping this for more website info.

Badoo is actually great cause it's full with hot eastern european chicks.

POF has limitations in that you have to buy credit to access certain features but, you can message people, which is good.
