Need help with womens sizing. I'm desperate

    Hi,
I feel I should at the start here I am a man so please forgive my ignorance in advance.
I spend a good bit of time in Cuba and a friend over there has asked me to get some clothes for his daughter who is 18 in a few months. Clothes are very expensive for Cubans so I'm happy to help him out. He's given her size for clothes, shoes and bra (kinda weird). The shoes and bra correspond to our own sizing so that's easy enough but the womens clothes size he has listed as S32. I've searched online and even asked in shops but no one seems to know. In mens a 36 would indicate a small and the girl is probably 5'5" and thin but I'm conscious of buying too small and it being a pointless exercise so I'm thinking I should err on the side of caution and go with a bigger size.
Does anyone have any clue what an S32 would correspond to here. A 6? or an 8? is my guess.
Thanks in advance if you can help. I can answer any more questions if you have any.

According to Google size 10 in US clothing is 40 in european sizes which would make a Euro32 size 2 US . We are 2 sizes up so that would be an Irish size 6! I'd presume the s means short length in trousers. So 6short would be my suggestion.

There are different sizes in Germany, France & Italy, which means that there isn't even a common European size. See link below

It might be helpful if he could give bust & waist measurements

I think your best bet is to put it back to your friend. I'm sure there would be a way to measured over there to suit European sizes. Buying too small and too big defeats the purpose equally.

Thanks to all for replying. Getting my friend to clarify what size his daughter is won't be easy as communication via phone and email is sparse with limited communications in Cuba so I think I'll buy a mixture of size 6 and size 8. Best I can in the situation I think.

Euro 32 can be also size 4. Not many brands around here stock it.
