    Hello guys,

I need opinion which one is better buy between these two?

    VOLVO V40 D3 150BHP SE GEartronic 2013, 2.0 Diesel.

    vs

    MERCEDES-BENZ A CLASS AUTO 2013, 1.6 Petrol.

In terms of maintenance cost and durability. Also torque wise? Also depreciation factor.

I do ~ 15000 kms annually. And my office is nearby, so usually 10 kms daily.

You need to give more detail

What sort of mileage and driving do you do?

You don't need a diesel car based on that then.

Lexus CT200h might be worth considering too:

Lexus CT200h looks real nice inside, didnt know about this model.

My main concern is depreciation with Lexus or Volvo or other Non-German cars. I know Mercedes/BMW/Audi retain somewhat a good value after 4-6 years of use.

My current petrol car is costing me deers when we go out for long drives and visit other cities which we do atleast twice a month.

Hated them both times I've had a loan of one. Dog slow and rotten in s design spec. Tiny boot as well. Phenomenally reliable though.

If your really worried about depreciation then a Golf is probably the best bet. You should be able to get a petrol Mk7 DSG for similar money. Mind you being petrol it will still have a fair bit of depreciation but being a Golf it will be less than other similar petrol cars.

    thanks for your input.

we have seen a friend's Golf DSG and its a bit too tight for us. Not roomy. I saw A class 2013 model and seat were big enough and comfy.

i haven't seen Volvo V40 or Lexus in real yet.

I think the V40 will be ruled out so too as they are not known for their room. The interior of the Lexus is fairly roomy.

It isn't. Boot is tiny and awkward and space in back isn't great. Those batteries have to go somewhere. I know the v40 ain't too hot either though. No idea of the A-class, but it just looks small.

    Ms

    How about a Volvo V50.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

The V50 is ancient at this stage, it was launched back in 2004, it's also narrow and legroom is tight.

Been looking at BMW 3 series 2013 auto model.

its a bit more expensive as compared to Benz A class, but probably a better choice?
