    Hi
    I fitted a clutch to a 2.0 dohc petrol sante fe yesterday
    It arrived back today running like a bag of bolts.... wouldn't drive over 60 mph
    I cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner.
    cleaned the cam sensor and any other sensor I could get at to clean
    After cleaning the throttle body the jeep got it hard to do 15mph.
    I plugged it in to find no faults
    eventually after spending a few hours at it , vehicle speed sensor code PO500 came up,
    I am thinking throttle body but I remain unsure.....
    Has anyone had experience with this problem before??
    It seems to be choking itself up the exhaust smells like its running rich on fuel .......;

    I think it's on the side of engine on these, near gearbox end

    "Vehicle speed sensor" refers to the road speed sensor mounted on the gearbox and not to the engine speed sensor.

    It or the wiring to it were probably damaged during the gearbox removal or refitting.

    Yea I know where the vehicle speed sensor is located on the gearbox
    Would this cause the problem of her not reving?
    Thanks

    Is it possible that youve mixed up the vss & throttle wiring plugs?
    seen it before on 2.0 petrol trajet
